Armed with my baguette blister box I've finally finished my home-made Star Maiden Guard doll on card.
Here's she is complete with new glued-down blister cover.
This decent 12 inch blister does real justice to Wotan Bill's fab repro card art and my home-made doll and clothes.
Its been fun!
Hope you like the final article.
That really does look convincing.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kevin!
DeleteLove it! The triple stripes on the blister side give it a kind of hibernation pod like feel. Well done, Woodsy (& Bill again)!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Arto!
DeleteBrilliant! Looks great. Maybe you could fashion the rest of the series too? You need to finalise The Vichim and her mates now! Bill
ReplyDeleteYour card art makes it Bill!
DeleteImpressive.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't know it was fake, if I saw it in a vintage toy or antique shop.
Thanks a bunch Mish!
DeleteAn excellent job. It would certainly convince me. The clear plastic blister looks great.
ReplyDeleteThanks very much Paul!
Delete"I'd buy that for a Dollar -Haaa Haaa Haaa"
ReplyDeleteWhat a great end result, it looks just like the real thing!
You and I really are in the same repro groove! I think if we'd been WW2 POWs, we'd be the chaps making convincing official documents. Donald Pleasance in The Great Escape is my Patron Saint!
ha ha, and thanks a lot Looey! I think you'd be the document gaffer and I'd just assist until I dropped my specs and found a pin on the floor!
DeleteYou have manifested something from a forgotten time - how cool is that! SFZ
ReplyDeleteCheers SF, most kind.
DeleteAnother excellent 'build' Woodsy. I recently saw an action figure of fb that showed a blister almost identical to your homemade one.
ReplyDeleteThanks a bunch Ed. Yep, its a great blister, even if it is for a sub sandwich!
