DINKY 'PRISONER' MINI MOKE

The Space 1999 London convention is planning to do day trips to various locations, including a visit to Portmeirion.

As reader Lewis mentioned 'The Village', I thought a couple of photos of the two main Prisoner cars, which I have already featured in previous posts on here  - Orange Alert!

Dinky Advert in TV21. The Prisoner Moke was interestingly numbered 106.  Once the apparent limited production of  Dinky Prisoner Mokes' ceased, 106 was the new number used by Dinky for the retooled blue Thunderbird 2.

  1. I know Dinky also had an Army Mini Moke with parachute and Dinky Toys 350 Tiny's Mini Moke. I wonder which was the production order of this toy, as Dinky obviously got good milage from the same moulds! (If they'd had the James Bond license, they could have produced a Live and Let Die Moke and a Spy Who Loved Me Stromberg Moke!)

    1. I had the army mini moke with parachute as a youngster, but never saw the Prisoner Moke at the time , as I recall it wasn't widely advertised. It's well known McGoohan wasn't keen on licensing merchandise for the series, so presumably it was pulled from production fairly sharpish.
