A LOOK AT SMALLSPACE 11: PART 2 BLAKE'S 7

Smallspace always has several props and models from Blake's 7 on display, mainly thanks to  long time fans, Andy Spencer, Karyn Clanger ,Phil Stevens and posthumously, Gary Holland.

The highlight for me was this superb scratch-built Space Command Federation Space Station. which I couldn't resist seeing what it would look like situated in space.

This excellent model was built by Phil Stevens.

Below: Some original costumes from Firefly, Space, Above and Beyond, and of course Blake's 7.

Original  screen-used props of a Federation Rifle, Blake's bounty hunter gun, and the spacedrive from the episode, 'Stardrive'.

A tiny model of the 'London', from Space Fall

Screen -used Orbit Shuttle, built by Ron Thornton in 1981, and seen in the episode, Orbit.

Blake's Flyer miniature, built by Bill Pearson, and used in the episode, Blake.,

And finally, a nod to the sadly missed, Gary Holland.

A link to a post I did previously on Gary.

  2. That space station is fantastic I agree Scoop. Love your space shot. The centre has a Tracy Island ring feel to it. Such mastery here, real scratch builders! It's humbling to see. Thanks for reporting back with great scoops Scoop! So sorry about Gary H.

  3. I too was particularly impressed by the Federation Space Station model.
It's design was a little retro, even by the late 70s, but good to see a proper 'wheel in space' type station again.
Maybe if Elon Musk builds a space station, it'll be a circular one, to go in style, with his old school Spacex 'rocket ship' spacecraft.
