PROJECT SWORD DAY ON THE HORIZON

As a prelude to Woodsy's Project Sword day, which takes place tomorrow, here's a few photos of my Task Force set.

  1. What a fine TF fleet Scoop, thanks for posting. The TF2 with box was surprisingly hard to find, and is one of the last additions to my collection.

    1. Cheers Arto. I wasn't aware that the TF2 box was hard to come by. All the TF boxes are quite fragile, so I shouldn't be surprised.

    1. They do look good in red, Zigg, although I have got a version of TF2 in white, and I've no doubt we'll see a few more colour variations of the TF ships, from other people's collections over the next couple of days.

  3. The TF 1 was the only Sword toy I ever had.
It was bought for me by my dad, on a camping holiday to Coniston, in the Lake District, probably in 1969.
I wasn't aware it was part if a set of other Project Sword toys, as I don't remember seeing them at all, in my local toy shops at the time.

    1. I knew about Project Sword through ads in TV21, but I didn't see many about at the time. I first got the annual at a sea side gift shop. My first Sword toy was a Scout Force 3, one of the three 'new wave' Sword toys which was in my local newsagents. I managed to pick up the other two from local newsagents over time. I did find a Dyna-Soar in a cycle shop that doubled as a toy shop, but that was it for new purchases. I picked up a working Moon Ranger and a Probe Force ship from a jumble sale some time later.
