I did not have those hardback books, but the style looks familiar. Were these re-prints of material from a magazine or part-work ? If so, I might have had a few loose issues.
The space section has been lifted from ‘Rockets and Missiles’ by John WR Taylor, one of my favourite boyhood space books! https://wotanspacebooks.blogspot.com/2022/06/course-correction.html
I got a couple of magazines on a regular basis (World of Wonder, and then Look and Learn), but I did have the odd issue of other magazines. Not sure of the exact titles, and those I still have are buried somewhere in a storage locker, so I can not check.

ReplyDeleteNot sure Paul. What magazines have you got?

ReplyDeleteGood to see how important books were to us kids Wote back then. I wonder if they still are. I adored my books and esp. encyclopedias.

ReplyDeleteSounds great Paul. I loved my regular subscriptions. Look In was my favourite comic that was delivered by the paper boy!
