ART SHRECKO

This 1946 art deco illustration of a sprawling Moonbase by Alexander Leydenfrost is just stunning.

It appeared in Colliers magazine

It reminds me completely of that other art deco monolith, the vertical movie house in House on Haunted Hill 1999.

Does anyone know this location?

There is something intrinsically gothic about art deco piles. Brutal, towering, they do give me the creeps. You?

  1. I think that's a miniature or a CG image Woodsy and not a real place at all.
