SEASTAR 5 INVADERS FROM THE ABYSS -THE COMIC! LAUNCH WEEK!

Hi,

Hope your well ... here's my latest venture , a children's sci-fi comic book , the printed version is released today .

SEASTAR 5 INVADERS FROM THE ABYSS.....
the supermation comic book printed version .

Its taken a bit longer in time and energy to pull this together but its finally done .
My childhood dream of creation of my own printed comicbook is now out on the E/Bay sales platform.

Its even getting noticed on the social media platforms of Instagram and Twitter.

The follow-up two books to this first one are in production and hopefully be released later this year or early in 2024 .

All the images in this new book version the new version of the printed book is extended and also includes a "Making of SEASTAR 5 feature article....the story is like my earlier Amazon Publishing Download Kindle release but also extended........images all created with model vehicles , sets and characters as cut-outs using artwork drawn figurines with cloth clothing for uniforms etc...

Will keep you posted on my "super submarine adventures at the bottom of the sea" in the future .

Best regards
Richard Dixon .

    2. Amazingly enough, I did! For a couple of years, a friend in Canada sent me the info, and I had a subscription sent here to the US, with a hefty postage surcharge! They arrived all wrapped up in a roll of paper, and good gosh did I love them! SFZ

    4. Sadly, these went by the wayside long ago. Also, I got these during the last years of publication - I’m going to say 1970-1971? A lot of Star Trek in there, if I recall. But they still had Zero-X, and I think Joe 90? And just to have something from the legendary Anderson universe in my hands was worth the cost ten times over! SFZ

  4. Great work, Richard. I love it that you are taking your passion and using it to create your own worlds. We are all fans of the stuff we saw as kids. Some people satisfy their urge to see more by creating Fan Fiction and Art, but it takes a lot more to imagine something all your own.
One of the big problems is the Anderson shows we all love, were the work of a team, whereas you (and a similarly minded creatives) are trying to do it all on your onesies...
    Bravo, Maistro!

    3. Nostalgia for TV21....in the old days I bought them all....every week and issue....I really loved that comic and its weekly look at the Anderson Universe....its sad that todays children don't have that publication....although when I got into working with the children's comics in the nineties to the present in the UK I did feel the nostalgia stuff working with new products from time to time.....my personal work with SEASTAR 5 and other projects which are coming soon will I think keep me thinking of the Anderson days for some time to come . 5. Hi Everyone.....first of all a big thank you Paul....you have pushed the boat out for me now on a number of occasions on your site....very much appreciate uo putting my stuff out there....thanks Bill for your good wishes....Lewis...thanks for looking in....and following me on Instagram...your correct about my handle there "dixaction"...I place stuff there weekly....on Twitter most days......a few observations....I am a big Gerry Anderson fan ....and love all the series he made ...even did a photo shoot for his people and talked with him , my work does have a look of those days ago...SEASTAR 5 has been some years in the making....actually it was written in 2012....fifteen episodes with full storyboards - but the latest version which follows its first appearance on Amazon Kindle - search "SEASTAR 5 INVADERS FROM THE ABYSS" is a very different version from the first original.....and now another updated and expanded version children's comic book version is out on E/bay....will post the reference number later today....but if you search comicbooks - graphic novels you should reach it - SEASTAR 5 INVADERS FROM THE ABYSS . The whole show or if you will comic book has been a successful advertising project for my studio based in the north of England , Lancashire . If you check out the website you will see that I am into toys , children's comics etc....I follow them and I work in that Industry and the Toy Industry in a support role.....a lot of SEASTAR 5 was influenced by my love of STINGRAY , throw in Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea ....add some SEAQUEST DSV.....spin it all round and you get SEASTAR 5.....two more books are near to completion to continue the story....beyond that we will see....three more maybe....depends on my work loads for other people but we will see....Thanks again everyone for your comments this year .Regards Richard Dixon .TPD STUDIOS UK .www.richard-dixon-tpd-studios.co.uk
