This is probably my favourite Stingray toy. I had one as a youngster and considered it a carbon copy of what I saw on screen, as did Troy Tempest - but then I was only 6!
I really like the simplified color scheme on this toy - one reason I never built the Midori/Paramount Stingray models was I never got past the tricky paint scheme...

DeleteDon't forget, we only watched in black and white then, and in 405 line resolution, so it wouldn't have seemed as innaccurate as it does now.

ReplyDeleteA Stingray paint job is quite a complicated affair, and takes a lot of masking tape and patience!
