I had the Cowboys on the plastic raft (it really did float), and some of the Timpo Mexican figures.

    1. I loved that Dragstar as a kid. Picked one up at a charity shop recently. Sweet reunion!

  3. At 1:46, the 2 motorcycles appear to be called Zoomy Gallomies, if those are the packages in the background. They were called Screamin Demons in the U.S. Very cool ,don't see these often nowadays.

  5. I didn't have any of those! I'd migrated to Australia by '73, but i have such fond memories of Selfridges. I especially remember exhibitions of Roland Emmet constructions (Chitty Chitty Bang Bang inventions) and seeing genuine Dr. Who Cybermen costumes (with photographs of circuitry behind the glass panels in their chests) on display. -There might even have been an Ice Warrior with them...

  6. Yes - Screamin' Demons and Zoomie Balloonies were both marketed by Matchbox around '73. I had the latter and what a stupid idea it was! The balloon always made the incredibly light vacuum formed car body fall over! Bill
