This picture was in a German charity shop. It's a scene from an old TV series about the Sandmannchen or little Sand man.
European readers may well have watched it as a kid.
Next to it is a painting by Janosch. He's a famous kids' books writer and illustrator over here.
Do you remember either of these German icons?

Just checked, and the movie 'Logan's Run' was known in German as 'Flucht ins 23. Jahrhundert' (literally 'Escape in the 23rd Century').

ReplyDeleteThe one I remember is apparently the West German version which I must have seen in 1964. The opening was very memorable to my 7 year old mind
