NEW MOON KIT

Looking forward to putting this 1.48 scale kit together. Not sure how big it is but a fellow 1999 fan, Peter O'Rourke put it together and needed a lot of glue!

  1. Mere 72 kms in diameter it seems... takes all Glenn Field!

In 1/48th scale that works out to 43 3/4 miles - still larger than many real moons. I always said 1/48th scale models are too large.

    1. I think Airfix missed a trick with this. They should have really done it to 1/44th scale then it would have been perfectly in scale with the 22" MPC Eagle kits ! ;D

  3. Can't wait to finish this kit, it goes perfectly with my O-scale model trains. Word to the wise: the shipping costs for this kit are astronomical.
