SMALL MERCIES: MINI BIBLE VIEWER

Kitsch like this was everywhere in the Sixties and Seventies.

Seaside shops, lucky bags and Christmas Crackers.

Here are tiny plastic Holy Bibles, which you can peer into through a little window at the side and see the Lords Prayer.

Rather than being offensive it got the word out.

These are ear rings [on Etsy] but the ones I had were key rings.

I saw some of these toy bibles in a famous Hull joke shop window a few back too.

Seasons Greetings readers!

  1. I once bought 'The World's Smallest Bible' (around an inch or inch-and-a-half high) on a school trip (may even have been a Sunday School trip), but it only contained one of the NT Gospels. And probably not even the complete version.

    1. I think I remember them Kid, tiny paper books. I think I had a small bible with metal covers too, maybe a key ring. I imagine its not something you see now.
