I've just had a double take! Driving through our village I saw van with the words SKY NET emblazoned on the sides!
Holy Moly! It's coming true! Next I'll see big Arnie strolling down the street on his way to Cyberdine Systems!
Have you seen any Sci-Fi names in real life readers?
The Chinese government calls their public surveillance system Skynet. I assume this is some kind of meta-irony, or maybe they just don't care what people think about their choice of names!

DeleteJust outside York there is a sign advertising Paul Foster Removals. I always wonder what he did when he retired from SHADO. A friend of mine who is an IT consultant registered his own company as Weyland Yutani Ltd. He was a big Alien fan. Always made us laugh when we saw letters addressed to him.
