Ideal's and Renwal Revell's Atomic Cannon

Hi

Here is an old TV ad for the Ideal Atomic Cannon, which was nearly four feet long, and fired Atomic shells. Sounds like great fun. Based on a real 280 mm gun of the 1950s.

There was also a 1/32nd scale kit by Renwal, which was later re-issued by Revell. The Revell model being covered in this review.

  2. Check out gi joe in 1989. They had their version of this called The Thunderclap. It has front and rear tractor units and a huge cannon carriage between them. This is a great review of this beast in 1/18 scale.
