The relaxation of lockdown restrictions meant that I was able to go out again and visit shops which have been closed for the last year. the good thing about this situation is that vendors have been forced to do stocktakes and clear out old storage. After visiting a corner newsagent near university this week, I was amazed to find these two Clifford Moon Traffic toys in amongst a rack of other toys, so I snatched them quick, much to the amazement of the old girl behind the counter! Unfortunately, this was the sum total of the space toy stock, but she did have some nice buckets and spades if it gets warm!
Holy Smoke! Now those are OOAK for sure! What luck Wote! Its almost as lucky as when you stumbled onto Mattel's entire Major Matt Mason global surplus stock in a corner shop in Bootle and you only had 10 pence in your threadbare pockets!
ReplyDeleteYep, luckily I had a spare tenner this time!
DeleteThe shopkeeper has just taken it down the lock nick. That tenner was from a monopoly game, the 'Knotty Ash' edition! The Law are looking for a tall man wearing school shorts and a rack display stand of Moon Traffic toys he swiped before leaving!
DeleteLock? Local!
ReplyDeleteAs it happens Moon Traffic is ancient anagrammatic password to the Lunar Society of Large Beings run by Fin Fang Foom's go-karting brother, FIN CART FOOM.
ReplyDeleteHm- had to remember the date...
ReplyDeleteBetter than my Thursday the somethingth of April find . . . Teresa May! Well done, I'd have the platform-lift in that size!

Very busy day yesterday so I've only seen this just now.
ReplyDeleteThat's droolworthy stuff there Wotan my friend. Beautiful!
Dangerous too. I've seen many an image of Matt Mason MOC (in the Lego sense) items appear out of context and described as genuine Mattel products by the unsuspecting.
Best -- Paul
They’re real, fell off the back of a wagon Guv. Honest!
DeleteWho was driving Wote, the Joker?
