This was a US private eye show about two brothers who run a San Diego detective agency, with help from their Mother. Rick was the rough and ready one in a cowboy hat, A.J. (Andrew Jackson) was the younger, smoother one in a suit. The series was on from 1981 to 1989.
A good few years after the series ended, Hot Wheels included three models based on the series in one of their premium lines. Introduced in 2013 as Retro Entertainment, and renamed Hot Wheels Entertainment in 2014, it has been known as Replica Entertainment since 2017.

I am not sure if any of these vehicles actually appeared on the show, as it has been a long time since I have seen any of the episodes.
Interestingly Jameson Parker, who played A.J., also appeared in the same 1994 Burke's Law episode as Anne Francis. Clearly he was still meant to be A.J. as he refers to having a brother, who is not seen.

2013 - '85 Camaro IROC-Z, a red convertible
2014 - 1980 Dodge Macho Power Wagon, a red pick-up truck
2014 - 1957 Chevy Bel Air Convertible, in black

ReplyDeleteAll three appeared in the series though I thought the Camaro was an '82.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the extra information. The Hot Wheels packaging describes the Camaro as a 1985 model, but they may have used different cars over the run of the show, or Hot Wheels just used an existing casting. That happens a lot in the world of die-cast models.
