Ah, reminds me of my Estes model rocket days! Build and paint a beautiful model rocket out if paper and wood, and then light a fuse and watch it fly into space! If you were lucky, the parachute would work, and you could retrieve it. If not, it was still cool to see it fly way up into the heavens. I even took a Super 8mm movie of one launch, which turned out to be a dud, as it petered out about fifty feet in the air and fluttered back to earth. Glorious days...
