MELTING POINT

I'm not sure what to make of this Macro War on You Tube. Its like an Airfix Chernobyl.

I did melt a few figures as a kid but this video is uncomfortably hypnotic as you see toy soldiers melt en mass like this.

Twenty million hits confirms it!

What do you think readers? Is it a new trend?

  1. It seems to be a paean to revolution against a system that has endured 10,000 years, so worthy, but ultimately: unlikely to produce the change sought by the grand words!

    Poignant!

  2. It's like watching a reenactment of War of the Worlds.

Just as long as it's limited to modern Chinese clones, and not the now collectable vintage plastic soldiers.

    1. I only ever melted a couple of soldiers Terran so I don't feel too guilty. I mostly blasted armies of them with my UFO interceptor missile!

  3. I’d melt rubbish toy soldiers with a magnifying glass in summer as a kid. This kind of thing is typical youtube fodder, lets break stuff and film it!

Horrible, and deeply unpleasant. I would never do that to a defenceless toy, even a low quality cheapo one.
