I'd love to see this crime feature, as its probably the only Gerry Anderson product I haven't seen yet. Hard to find in the US. Apparently, this was part of a whole genre or series of short crime films made for second-run movie theaters. I bet they are all very cool.
Got up late and saw about a quarter of the film Zigg. Very gritty. Almost noir. Made in 1960 so the feel of the thing was very 1950's. I thought the pace of the action was good. I wonder what Gerry thought?
Yes, that time period in British film was a great time, lots of rough, grungy crime dramas, with Gerry's amongst them. I am sure he was proud of it, as it was another feather in his cap, filmmaker-wise. His real destiny as a television genius lay ahead, however.
