TV21 Brand finds new owner
Comic News blog Down the Tubes reports that media and comics giant Rebellion has secured the rights to TV21, SOLO and Tornado, along with other Fleetway licences. Rebellion owns various game rights and currently publishes 2000Ad comic. I wonder if the company will attempt to revitalise the classic brand, or are audiences now too far removed from the possible futures offered by the comic ?

ReplyDeleteI did mention this in a comment on my Apollo Bi- centenary post, but Bill has put this link up Woodsy. From what I can gather it only applies to non TV strips, so maybe Sword might have a chance, but there might still be other licensing issues if any stories use elements of Anderson TV stuff. Catch or Kill might be okay, or the Malcolm Stokes illustrated strip about a football in the future. Yuk!
