ROSENBAUER AIRPORT CRASH TENDER

I'm scratchbuilding again and and attempting the SpaceX II Crash Tender.

Researching modern crash tenders I came across this fabulous design, the Rosenbauer Panther. Fpr some reason it remins me of the Tri-ang design. Probably more for its futuristic feel than anything specific.

Its very Thunderbirds! Do you agree?

Here's the Panther promo video on YT. It comes in red too.

Do you know of any other futuristic tenders that you like readers?

  1. Yes, that is very retro futuristic! The groovy windshield and the top mounted water cannon, or camera, or whatever that is over the cockpit, is what really makes this craft look Supermarionationy...

    1. I agree Zigg. Century 21 did have some really neat fire tenders on screen in Thunderbirds and so on. Made from old toys at the time by Derek Meddings et al but sadly never released as toys in their own right! They would have made amazing fire tender toys!

  2. Lego has a Technic version of this. However, a few years back, they had a Lego people scale version that was great. No pics of mine as it is off in a giant tub of Lego but here's a box shot https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/71ftsBpY8oL._SX679_.jpg

    1. I like that Lance. The little burning engine is cute! Is Lego ever kept in anything but giant tubs!?
