tenth birthday tale: jr21 missile launcher: its gone full circle!

On our very first blog Birthday on this day in 2009 our first ever birthday special was this article by super collector Ferryman about his JR21 Missile Launcher.

Hi Woodsy

RE: My JR21 Missile Launcher

I managed to unearth my Corgi Corporal Missile Carrier after some minor excavations in my office.

I thought it might be nice to get a couple of shots of the two toys together, JR21 [left] and Corgi die-cast [right].

I suspect the unusual addition of chrome wheels on the JR21 toy was influenced by this variant of the Corgi model.

Fast forward 10 years to this Tenth Birthday.

Last month another pf these elusive JR21 toys surfaced on Ebay!

With no hope of winning I placed a meagre bid and hoped the Launcher stayed under the radar!

Wonder of wonders I actually won!

Despite being incomplete my toy is fabulously well boxed and now resides at Moonbase just in time for the bloggiversary.

But rest assured the story won't end here😉
