ACTION TRANSFERS IN SPACE

I was looking through the blog draft archive and found these old pictures.

They appear to be an Action Transfers' Apollo set.

Is that right readers?

  1. I loved action transfers like this as a nipper, Woodsy. Low cost and bags of fun. I wonder if you're still around for kids, or consigned to the footlocker of distant memories ?

Tastes are tastes and slangs are culturally idiosincratic, but please mind your language, by Jupiter! ;-DDD

  2. It is the Letraset Action Transfers Moon Expedition set, Woodsy. Loved these as a kid and still buy for nostalgic reasons whenever found.

    1. Were they Finnish versions Arto?

    2. Yes indeed, at least some of them were versions with both Finnish and Swedish titles.

In the 70's, another kind of action transfers was found in Kellogg's cereal packets. These premiums included animals etc. Still remember the bliss of how the waxed paper they were printed on responded to a ball point pen, leaving deep depressions and thus transferring the picture to the paper below.

    1. Honest simple fun for sure Mish I agree. A million miles away from what kids do now: play Fortnite all day and all night! I wonder if we would have played Fornite?

  6. Yeah, Im sure we would have.
We did whatever was 'in' then (watch TV, play 'cowboys and indians' and Subuteo, ride our Raleigh Choppers etc), so if Fortnite was the thing, we'd have played it.
