what do they say in these songs?

For years I've been listening to songs and thinking ..... 'what did they just sing?'.

Here's a small smattering of them. See if you can decipher what they're saying without looking up the lyrics.  I never have so I genuinely don't know. 

If you don't know then amusing suggestions always welcomed as well as more songs for me to blog!

By 12 bar blues rockers Status Quo, what is the line this extract starts with? It sounds like' riding in a green grass doitcher car'.

    #2-Revved up like a deuce,could possibly be a reference to a car engine.Note should be made that the original lyric(By New Jersey's own Bruce Springsteen)is Cut loose like a deuce...to which I have no clue.Sounds gross,though.

      Cheers Brian, thanks for that. I didn't know the Boss did it first. Yes, Deuce could be a car as in Little Deuce Coupe by the Beach Boys. Nice one.

      Woodsy, I own the album"Greetings from Asbury Park"and have just watched several Bruce Springsteen videos, both past and present,and The Boss clearly sings"cut loose like a deuce".I am not incorrect.

    Racked up like a deuce...another roller in the night. Bruce Springsteen`s original recording, references rolling dice.

    Guys, a "deuce" is a 1932 Ford Coupe:

    This model was popular among car buffs for hot rod modification decades after the car was built, hence the "little deuce coupe" that inspired the Beach Boys:
