kev's sutcliffe atomic sea wolf submarine

One toy I had as a kid that saw a lot of action in the bath was the clockwork Sea Wolf submarine. This would dive and surface due to its diving planes. Here are a couple of pictures of the one in my collection, including one of it in the bath!

  1. Now that does looks like a solid well made vintage toy, Kevin. I like the original box as well :)

  2. I agree Tone. Its a lovely thing. Not sure if I had one as a Kid. There are some boats and subs I just can't remember. It must have been a brave move to make a working underwater toy like this out of tinplate.

  3. Yep, it's well made, the key fits into a winder that is inside the conning tower. Once wound up, you fit a rubber bung into the hole for the key. After all this time the motor hasn't rusted up!
