guitar brainflash

Just had a memory moment!

An image of an old ornament popped into my head.

Its of a small guitar that hung on a wall. The guitar had a barometer in the main body. It had strings like a real one.

Doe this ring any bells with anyone?

  1. its a souvenir from Spain, very popular in the sixties with black varnished castanets and those big prints of scatily clad latin lovelies reclining on trees. Very popular today for the kitch value

    1. That's it! Well remembered! Guotar ornaments were everywhere back then! My Mum must have brought it back from one her Spanish trips in the early Seventies. Now you mention it I have some postcards from her from Spain showing a photo of flamencoing signoritas that have real embroidery over the dress!
