ha ha. It's five to five Kid! I wonder of those show winners kept their Crackerjack pencils. Bet they're on Ebay now and then! As for Crunchie, they are the best. I adored it when one had gone sticky inside making it chewy in one spot. Yes Friday night was sweets night!
Friday has always been very special for me. Its always been a night of decent TV! If there was nothing I'd consider decent on I'd watch a VHS video and in later years a DVD. Now we have the computer hooked up to the big TV now and it together with video playout software has transformed our viewing.
So its fish and chips or a takeaway and then settle down for an evening of goodies complete with 60s tv idents inbwtween. Redifusion, ABC, ATV and TWW live again!
It sounds to me like you have given Friday night the honour it deserves Bill. Special TV and food, a winning combo for what is the finest evening of the week. What is video playout software though? PS. TWW, is that Thames Weekend Television? I loved their little trumpetted theme, like a fanfare. As for ATV, I adored Survival and can see the ATV knight on horseback maquete before the programme started. What was ABC? American TV?
Fridays have never been the same for me since they cancelled Crackerjack (CRACKERJACK!), but I always try to have a Crunchie.
