BLUE BOX YONDER

As there's appears to be a bit of interest in the old Blue Box space toys we've featured here quite a few times over the years, here's few old photos of the four I have.



SPACE DISC (S.D. 2)



SPACE CAR (S.C. 3)



SPACE ROCKET (S.R.4)



SPACE JET (S.J.1)

I have to admit I do like the Space Disc and the Space Car which do look like cut-price SWORD toys, but I can't say I'm mad about the Rocket and the Jet, as they do look a bit too much pre-school to me. Still I'm sure Blake 7 fans will have all these in their collection.

    I used to have the Blakes 7 versions. They're quite rare.

      I'm surprised you haven't still got them, Kev. The Blake's 7 versions are mega collectable considering they have little to do with the series.

      I did, including a lot of original costumes from the show but, sadly, it was time to move on.

      I thought you still had the costumes for some reason, or maybe I'm confusing it with your Star Cops stuff. I suppose the biggest problem is making space for everything.

      Yeah, I do have the Star Cops ones but no B7 ones any more. Ironic that Space is always a problem for us!

    Lovely shote, Mike, and I always admire how that bright diorama style works so very well with this type of toy.
    Having all four of those toys in one place is also very good, so that's another footnote again to the LP cruiser page. Thanks!!!

      I did get a bagged Space Car off you Woodsy,you introduced me to the blog with that one. The four in the photos are from a couple of other folk.

      Good old Ebay eh. I still have one of those bagged space toys. Sold the 3 others. I love the bright colours of the series. They would have made great SWORD Scouts!
