TERRA PIRATEN IM WELTRAUM

I love the wheeled vehicle on the cover of this old German sci-fi mag, Terra #510. Can't think what it reminds me of? The astronauts look like Mattel's Man in Space Major Matt Mason! What do you think readers?

    1. I see what you mean Ervino. Moon Zero Two was a super cool film. I was shocked as a child when the space helmet turned and had a skull inside!

    2. Hi Woodsy!

      Yup, super cool & TOTALLY '60, I agree! I have just seen it for the first time last week: my only complaint is that is unfortunate that I had not seen it when I was a child! :-)

      Here is a wonderful page on the use and reuse of the M02 spacesuits:

    3. It is iconic. the vehicles and the suits, all of it Ervino! Like Barbarella. Have you seen that?

      David reads the blog I think. Moon Zero two is one his fave films!

    4. AAMOF I decided to look at M02 because David mentioned it in a comment here on MBC a couple of weeks ago! :-)
      Barbarella was exactly the movie that came to my mind seeing the dancers babes in M02!
      BB is a movie I always liked a lot, for its dreamlike '70 looks.
      And for Jane Fonda, of course.
      I had an almost life-size poster of her on a wall of my room when I was a teen... :-D

    6. The Bava's movie? Are you joking, aren't you? ;-D
      1) I'm from 1961;
      2) I'm a life-long SF fan;
      3) I'm Italian;
      4) moreover, I'm from Trieste, the city of the '60 & '70 "International Festival of the Science Fiction Movies" ( https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Festival_internazionale_del_film_di_fantascienza_di_Trieste - in Italian only, alas).
      Any more questions, my friend? :-DDD

    8. I read about that hypotesis. Frankly I haven't see it in about a dozen or so years, so I haven't a fresh impression. You resolved for me what to do this afternoon of rain and half a cold: I will have a pass at it (together with Barbrella... pun unfotrunately only a pun! :-) and let you know my profund comparate analysis this evening... ;-)

    9. Italian rain! I could do with some of that. Got to be more interesting than English rain! Enjoy.
