I wasn't aware Colin Vearncombe had passed away until I saw your blog - he can't have been that old - A truly wonderful song and album. Were not even 1 month into 2016 and we have already lost so many talented people (all too soon) with David Bowie, Alan Rickman an now Colin - very sad
I could have sworn I left a comment here yesterday. Oh well. A sad day indeed Scoop and Paul. Colin had such a beautiful wistful voice and what a haunting song Wonderful Life was and is. Tragic. RIP.

ReplyDeleteLiverpool born Colin was just 53, and died following a road accident two weeks ago. A real tragedy.

Deletewhat a damn shame. Black was the soundtrack to my 80s/90s. Still listen to Comedy and Wonderful Life daily. a great talent lost
