Hot Wheels Zowies

Zowies, or Fun Buggies as they were called in the UK, were a small range of cars, just under two inches long, originally sold in the US as a Shell petrol premium in the mid seventies.

DESPERADO
DIABLO
BUMBLE SEAT
GOOD KNIGHT
BEDDY BYE
I think a further 8 models appeared stateside, does anyone have them ?

  1. I had some of those (possibly still do, but where...?) but from Mattel GmbH with names in German. Some of your pictures look very familiar though. I'll mount a search expedition...

  3. Loved Zowies [or Zowees] but cannot recall the packaging at all. Not sure if I sent them flying down my HotWheels/ Superfast track. Would they even stay on a plastic track?
