SPACE PATROL 1 WAS BORN IN A DALEKS STRIP

I first came across the origin of Space Patrol 1 on Steve Holland's great Bear Alley blog. Steve saw the link between the above Ron Turner illustration of a spaceship called the Guardian and the SpaceX toy, Space Patrol 1, way back in October 2007. To read the full article click here.

As I later found out, the Guardian featured in a Daleks comic strip called The Emmissaries of Jevo. It ran between TV21's issues 90 to 95 during 1966.

To give you a flavour of this strip here they are in issues 90 and 91.
