THAT'S NO MOON......PROSPECTOR!

I recently came across this little Glico candy toy on Yahoo Japan. I even had a little bid on it because it reminded so much our mate the Moon Prospector. It's actually an Ultraman - type premium with extending green monsters at the sides!

As luck would have it I also found these two old plastic cake topper spaceships in Doncaster market for 50p and when I looked at the front landing gear I thought, Moon Prospector legs! The project was on! All I needed now was the Japanese Glico toy. I waited for the auction to end......

....and I lost as usual! Ah well. I still had the cake topper jets and the pictures of the Glico thingy. So I set to work trying to make a miniature Prospector using photographs. I took one cake topper apart.

and photographed it so I could mess with its landing gear in 'paint'. The black ribbed design totally reminds me of some other toy too but I just can't think what.

Here it is, the finished result in 'Paint'. Not very good I know. The real thing would have been better but my gluck had run out when I went for this particular Glico!
