Sorry to hear that Toad...I had noisy and extremely anti-social neighbours for years, nearly drove me insane! I hope they calm down a bit as the night progresses!
Toad, you don't have to put up with this. See if your local police have Safer Neighbourhood Teams, and, if so, ask to be put in touch with yours. They'll give you log sheets so you can note times and other details, and they can be asked to show a bit more consideration! Try it - you'll be glad you did! Grif
Thank you for the advice, Grif, and for taking the trouble to post it. (I hope that doesn't come from personal experience!).
Noise from the neighbours has been an ongoing issue. Another kind person on the blog gave me some advice too, and there has been some improvement. Wish I could move, though.
I suppose parties are to be expected on New Year's Eve, so maybe I overreacted. (At least it didn't go on till 6am, like it used to with the last lot!) But it had been one of THOSE days, and I just wanted to get some sleep. You know how it is, I'm sure.
Not quite personal experience - I'm chair of the local Safer Neighbourhood Panel (we can raise areas of concern, and set Policing priorities for the Safer Neighbourhood Team) and I've been able to help a couple of people on this sort of thing! Grif
I enjoy you because of your own effort on this web page. Kim really likes engaging in investigations and it's easy to see why. A lot of people hear all about the dynamic mode you offer rewarding tricks by means of this web blog and therefore strongly encourage contribution from some other people on that idea then our favorite girl is truly starting to learn a lot. Have fun with the remaining portion of the new year. You are always performing a tremendous job. Cherry Finish Bed Step Stool
My adventure so far is noisy neighbours stopping me from going to bed. (shakes fist). Tell me the year gets better ...

ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you and everyone.
Thanks for the kind thoughts, eviled. And I'm sorry there was a time when you had to live this way too. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteI once had neighbours that played opera early on a sunday morning. So I turned the Wurlitzer round and defeated them with Jerry Lee Lewis (evil grin)
ReplyDelete(nothing against opera I hasten to add, but there's a time and place for everything and sunday morning is not it. ;)
Wishing you all a peaceful 2012!

But it's been quiet since then, yay!

Well, I'm relieved to read that, Grif. You don't want to move here by any chance and sort it out? (winks)
