Rubbing it in

Following on from the earlier post about Letraset Action Transfers, here is a comic ad from 1969 designed by the great Frank Bellamy. This original scan kindly supplied by Tom from the fabulous SPLAT archive: http://www.action-transfers.com/.

Watch out for further blasts from the rub down past soon!

  1. There was something very satisfying rubbing down the transfers with a pencil. I loved it when the filmy paper crinkled and crackled and the picture started to stick! The transfers went on everything - books, shelves, comics, chairs and toy boxes! I picked up a copy of Battlestar galactics at a boot sale this year and lo and behold, there was a Cylon Warrior transfer lurking on the inside cover! That kid had fun doing that way back in the day!
