Dinky on the Dark Side

A few quick shots of Dinkys final foray into sci-fi - the Trident Fighter in sleek black finish which was originally paired with the white Battlecruiser, which bears more than a passing resemblance to the Starcruiser Interceptor! I only ever bought the Trident and later the Patroller. Expansions of the range took the basic Battlecruiser and rebranded it as a 'Zygon' Marauder with various plastic accessories bolted on to the die cast hull. The launchers from the Battlecruiser were hastily shoved on to the body of a Tornado and graced with UFO Interceptor skis to make the Patroller.

 Possibly the best use of recycled parts goes to the Galactic War Chariot, a simple chassis with Shado 2 gun, Macs Car engine and Lunar Rover astronauts. This was later wheeled out with a Meccano rocket launcher and two slightly remoulded pilots - ugh.
