I thoroughly enjoyed Duncan Jones' MOON movie a couple of years ago. It was a return to a more realistic space future with some great hardware. I can't say I enjoyed Danny Boyles' SUNSHINE though. Does anything actually happen in it?
Boyles well overated, ive yet to see a good movie of his at all. Moon was a pleasant surprise, with excellent effects and a storyline that reminded me heavily of Dark Star and Silent Running. Sunshine was just a bunch of guys floundering about in tinfoil.
Clooneys Solaris was another case of style over substance, the music was good, but nothing actually happened. Lems probly turning in his grave, assuming he is dead ? ha, ha
