I went to see THOR at the flicks last night. There's Asgard gleaming in the sunlight, the Ice Giants waging war, Loki causing mischief and the thunderous one himself throwing his mighty hammer around the screen. 3D completed the experience. In many ways it's a advert for next year's herofest The Avengers but despite it's faults, THOR is much nordic fun. Anyone else seen it?
The God of War rode forth one day upon a handsome filly,
ReplyDelete'Im Thor!' he cried, the the horse replied 'of course you are, you forgot your thaddle, thilly!'
hee hee Wotan.
ReplyDeleteBTW Just been told there's more film after the credits end! Drat! I left when they started. Damn.
Haven't seen it. Is it Thor from the (seemingly interminable) comics?
ReplyDeleteJust for the record, is Thor a good guy or a baddie?
ReplyDeleteThor is the Nordic God of Thunder and appeared in Marvel comics during the Silver Age of the 1960's. He's a member of the Super Hero collective called the Avengers, along with amongst others Iron Man and the Hulk. He's a hammer-wielding good guy Toadster, strong, gallant and very polite!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Woodsy. So, is he actually a god in the comics and the film? Or an alien, or mutant? Sorry, but I don't get it.
