Tetsujin 28

Tetsujin 28 Rocket from our friends in beleaguered Japan.
I know nothing about Tetsujin but love the sleek SWORDesque lines of this.

Below is a very Thunderbird 1 - like Fire Rocket X-0077 by Yonezawa.

  1. That "Fire Rocket" puts me more in mind of Fireball ... the tail end, leastways. Maybe it's the colouring too.

X-0077 .... double-oh double seven ... LOL, were they giving the name a "Bond" hook but in disguise?

    Nice to see, Woodsy.

  2. Tetsujin 28 is the original name of the cartoon known in English-speaking nations as Gigantor…and there's the space-age robot himself pictured on the fuselage, bigger than big, taller than tall!

(His human chum Shotaro a.k.a. Jimmy Sparks is there as well.)
