Freas

I first discovered Frank Kelly Freas in my late teens in the late 1970's. In fact it was a single book of his art that did the trick, a Christmas present from someone in the family. Kelly Freas somehow brought space to life and filled it with amazing characters, beautiful people and fantastic creatures in an ethereal style all his own. The above painting, Zenya, is typical of his talent and one of my favourites, combining fabulous spaceships and starlets in the deepest corners of space. Below are a few more [particularly for Toad]. Anyone else like the art of Kelly Freas?

  1. I don't really know Kelly Freas at all. Can you post a couple more, please, Woodsy? Is this one typical?

  2. Thank you, Woodsy. I do like that second one ( the pale skinned woman and the rocket in the cavern).
