Wet your Appetite

Straight from the land of the rising sun, our far eastern correspondant Captain Harlet sends these wonderful shots of a futuristic hydrofoil toy currently at auction in Japan. The minimal gaijin text on the box suggests it is a Hydromach 21 and is apparently battery powered. Beyond this, its all conjecture and pure eye candy! There is a small logo visible on the box comprising a 'Y' against a star background - im assuming this isnt the japanese giant Yonezawa, but i'm not all that familiar with its branding.

Edit: im reliably informed by Mr Vreede that this is indeed a Yonezawa creation - the logo appears on various tin toys.

  1. That is in fact a Yonezawa trademark, Wotan. Got it on various tin toys too, with that name.

  3. The design reminds me a bit of the ill-fated Bluebird K7 that killed the great Donald Campbell.
