ALPINE ADVENTURE ON THE DRIVEWAY

Back in those Snowy winters we always seemed to have as kids in the Sixties the toy of choice for arctic weather was the Action Man Ski Patrol. I loved this set and the other one with the sled and huskies. My Action Men also fraternsied with their smaller cousins Little Big Man by Bradgate. They also made a brilliant Alpine Adventure set - pictured above. Ah, happy wintry days pushing plastic male dolls along on skis! Anyone else have some Little Big Man stuff?

  1. I don't remember 'Little Big Man', but my brother and I had some chaps called 'Dummy Man' who did stirling duty as casualties because their heads came off with more ease! They only ever seemed to come with a camoflaged jungle suit?

  2. I had the standard soldier and a mountie on a horse! They were just a touch bigger than Matt Mason, so I couls share the accessories!

Ah Nostalgia! I also had this Little Big Man (but never the scuba one unfortunatly) and for me there are certain must haves for Action Man or similar figures....Spacesuit, Scuba gear and Arctic white Camo. As for Action Man's arctic gear I always preferred the middle issue with the cloth pouches on the web belt and the soft brown cap with the stiched fabric strip at the rear....or is that just pedantic!
