SPACE STATION ON THE MOON IN DALEK BOOK


"Hi Paul, saw this picture of a futuristic moonbase in a copy of an old Dalek Outer Space Book from the mid sixties. The 'Space Modules' do look very remanisant of the mythical Sword Moonbase set, especially the one unloading the wheeled moon explorer. (That looks a bit like a SpaceX MEV). Cheers, Mike Burrows." PS. blog reader Paul Vreede has been in touch "That base is clearly derived from another Valigursky illustration out of the Man and Space book (pictured below.Ed) and yes, that -is- a Spacex MEV-like vehicle." Nice one Paul.

    That's clearly based on a Valigursky illustration from the Man and Space book (and yes, that's the MEV origin being offloaded there :)
