ONE HAPPY READER! AMY AND HER DART GUN.

Hi Paul, just a quick note to say the JR21 Dart Gun arrived safely from Steve (Vintage Thunderbirds Toys), and it’s just fab! As promised I’ve attached a photo of me and my partner posing with it along with the laptop tuned to our favourite website (!). Sorry we couldn’t add a photo of our S.W.O.R.D. fleet, but it would have taken days to line them all up (and there’s nothing new in there that you won’t already have seen !).

However I’ve enclosed 3 scans of an old Spaceman figure that we found that we can’t identify that you might like to add to your "Project: Spaceman" feature (which we both love!). It dates from the late sixties and has no markings apart from the base shown. The face plate is some sort of magnifying plastic to enlarge the flesh coloured face underneath.

It’s 7.5 cms. tall and very close to one of the MPC spacemen in Paul Vreede’s recent post (the blue one with sextant and rope in the 4th set from the bottom) but this one has a slightly different pose and the "fisheye" helmet visor seems quite unique. Anyway, hope that’s of some interest to you - we’d love to do our bit to help out with the blog after winning such a great prize !

Thanks again and congratulations on such a great Blog ! Best wishes, Amy

You're welcome Amy. It's feedback like yours that keeps the blog going! Glad you like the dart gun and thanks for the big thumbs up! Project Spaceman himself, WOTAN, has been sent your green astronaut pics for further analysis! Thanks again, Paul PS. love your partner's 2001 T-shirt! Cool!

  1. Hi Amy,

that figure is also made by MPC. As you spotted yourself, it's identical to a regular 2" MPC figure except for the goldfish-bowl helmet.
