Here are photos of my wooden and motorized model of the 1968 Alfa Romeo Carabo concept car.
Made by an unknown but obviously quite skilful Finnish model maker, it measures an admirable 37 cm.
There are two electric motors inside, and it had some kind of remote control, now sadly lost.

Wow - now that is a custom model! SFZ
ReplyDeleteThat is a beauty Arto - how did you come across that? Bill
ReplyDeleteThanks guys. A second-hand shop that I use to frequent had bought the whole estate of this mystery model maker. He had built huge, beautiful and elaborate model kits, both plastic and wooden (Billing Boats etc.), but also made scratch-built models like this Carabo which struck a chord with me.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic thing, to buy a whole modellers' estate. You picked well Arto!
DeleteThanks Woodsy, very UFO too as you pointed out!
DeleteYep, Straker will be calling you shortly! 🤣
