Not long ago, I posted about the Kellogs Space Age cereal premiums that were available in Sugar Smacks cereal in 1970. The company that made them, Rosenhain and Lippman, based in Australia, were prolific manufacturers of all kinds of premium toys, as well as the little model kits. After the promotion ended and the kits were no longer available, R & L packed up a selection of the kits and sold them separately in supermarkets etc, as 'Kit O Rama' sets. These were also eventually picked up by Aurora and sold in the states, in different packaging.

I remember the Kellogs Space Age craft. I thought they were amazing. What a brilliant collection you've got there, Bill.
ReplyDeleteStill missing a couple of models, they are so hard to find due to their fragility.
DeleteAmazing little things. The odds are against them surviving so it's great to see them. There was once a Dic O Rama boxed set from Mexico I think, with all the space models in it.
ReplyDeleteThese are amazing artifacts of a bygone era - these tiny model kits are a joy to behold. SFZ
ReplyDeleteExcellent Wotan! That gives me a couple of options when trying to search for these things.
