Edzilla

Woodsy,

Here's my lone Kaiju toy - a Bandai Godzilla from 2013. I remember watching the old school Godzilla vs. (whatever man-in-monster suit he finds) movies as a kid but never really bought into the whole phenom.

  1. There's a toy shop chain in Australia called Toymate. It seems to have supplanted the old Uncle Pete's and Toyworld brands.
They sometimes have quite good specials, so I occaisionally mooch around, trying to relive my childhood.
The Mattel Masters of the Universe/Transformers mash-up figures got a very limited release in Oz at an eyewatering $50 a pop.
Toymate had Skeletor and Man at arms for only $18 each so I bought old bone face!
The concept and packaging art is phenomenal, Mattel had really channelled the old 80's graphic style of both these toy lines.
I went looking for a He Man/Optimus to match my Skeketor/Megatron. I finally found one at the $50 mark, so no thanks!

But, (and here's where my story actually actually gets back onto topic!) I noticed a Godzilla figure tucked into a $15 toy shelf.
It was a Godzilla Minus One figure which I'd never seen before.

Just a little suspicious, I took it to the checkout for a price check...

    Sure enough it was $50!
A nice Kaiju, but too rich for me!

    1. Tough luck that Looey but did will with Skeletor. I enjoyed Godzilla Minus One.
