The Cylon Tank Mystery!

This is something I had no idea about. A full size Cylon tank show prop. Has anyone seen it? Do you like it?

  1. The 'Battle of Galactica' show closed at the Universal Studios Hollywood theme park in 1992 (ran from 1979- 92) and the first time I visited was 1995. Didn't see the prop anywhere. We also visited the Florida theme park and though the prop was not there on the backlot tour (they take you through the boneyard of movie vehicles and props) we did see the original Battlestar Galactica 6 foot long filming model on display in a shop window! There are photos of the tank at the Galactica byyourcommand fan site -

Just thinking - what a great model railway layout a 'studio tour' train would make - you could include everything from dinosaurs to spaceships.

Such trains were indeed to be seen at various fairs. There was one for the 1964-65 New York World's Fair, called Glide-A-Ride, but that was a road train, and did not run on rails. Still, the same idea. There was also a smaller Escorter vehicle. I did articles on both some time ago.
