Space Guitar and Death Ray Boogie!

Terry H sent me a snapshot of these rockin' rocket age songs on one LP!

Anyone know any of these tunes?

  1. Nope.
Not a single one of them Woodsy !
But interesting that there was all this stuff around in popular music culture from the death ray '30s to the atomic '50s.

  2. Oh yes, lots to like here for me, sound tracks from my teens until today, the Johnny Guitar Watson track is i believe from 1954, similar to Lightnin hopkins electric recordings of the same year, "A girl called Sal", "Moving out boogie" and "They wonder who i am", utterly bonkers, its no wonder white folk were scared by rock n roll

  3. My old band The Ricardos recorded space themed rockabilly "Martian man" "Wild saturday night on earth" and it's follow up "Screamin saturday night on earth" there was a band called The Space Cadets that recorded all Space themed tunes, "Rockin with the Space Cadets " and my favourite "Wakkadiawakkadoo"
