Keeping Trim

I've just said goodbye to this Mike Trim signed print I've sold. I've always liked it and kept it pristine but I can let it go after 15 years.

I bought it off Mike Trim himself at his stall at the excellent 2010 Fanderson con in Brighton.

Mike was signing stuff and a few people had brought their copies of the War of the Worlds album which he did the cover art for.

I think I asked Mike to sign my Project SWORD Cape Kennedy Set box top, which I unstapled and flattened for the trip!

Hard to believe it's 15 years ago!

Do you have any signed stuff readers?

  1. My K9 replica has been signed by John Leeson, the actor who voices him on TV!

    1. Wow, one that you made yourself Kev? How cool! Does your replica speak?

    4. Yes, he helps out the Hyde Fundraisers, so recorded a whole load of stuff for events, which is the only time I use K9's speech circuits!

  2. I got a signed book off of Amazon once. I was amazed, signed by the author himself. I don't think the seller knew what it was.

I don't know if any of you know/remember Red Skelton, but he was a comedian way back from the 1930s to the 1970s. And if you watch his bits, you'll see So many bits and lines that got stolen by the guys behind the Looney Tunes cartoons.

"He don't know me vewy well, do he...?"

  3. Wow I remember that print...
    Science Fiction Monthly?
I used to love seeing all those NEL(?) cover paintings blown up big -especially Chris Foss and Bruce Pennington...

As far as signed stuff goes, the Missus has her Ray Harryhausen Seventh Voyage of Sinbad Australian daybill.
And I have a personally autographed photo of Jonathan Harris and me in my Robot suit from his stage show in the 90's.
I don't own it any more, but my tour used Robot suit, which was purchased by the Powerhouse Museum has Bob May's autograph on the bubble head!
